Summary
The grave marker was rather unremarkable, just a flat rock he came across near a riverbed, with a few simple words etched into its surface. But back then, it was the best he could manage with the limited resources at hand. As he had grown older, he knew he could have created a more fitting resting place for his master. His master might have even desired a more elaborate gravestone, but even now, he couldn't bring himself to change it. So many emotions were tied to that humble attempt at a proper gravestone, and it felt almost disrespectful to his younger self who had poured so much care and time into it.

“Yes, you’re very talented,” Geralt says, and Jaskier thinks he would like to kiss him for that, but the witcher seems very high up away. “Now go to sleep.”
