Summary
Either way, the point was; she had wanted this.
So, all she had to do was figure out a way to be able to look him in the eye again without remembering that she had spent this morning touching herself to thoughts of him.
No big deal.

Summary
“Lucy,” he said gently.
Her brow furrowed.
She looked at him the way someone looks at a stranger who has walked into the wrong room, her eyes searching his face without recognition, without familiarity, without even the faintest flicker of comfort. There was no softening in her expression, no easing of tension in her shoulders, no quiet relief that usually came whenever she saw him after a bad call. Instead, her gaze stayed guarded and uncertain, as if she were trying to understand why this unfamiliar man was standing so close to her hospital bed, speaking to her in a voice that sounded far too intimate for someone she didn’t know.
Then she spoke, her voice hoarse from screaming and disuse, fragile but steady enough to carry across the short distance between them.
“Who are you?”

Summary
“Why’d you volunteer, Tim?” Lucy asks quietly.
It’s the question that’s been plaguing her for the past two days, ever since she saw his name on the list. There’s a lot of things that Tim hates, but she’s pretty sure undercover work might be at the forefront. Yet, he had volunteered to do a long-term op, posing as her husband. She knows he’s trying to pay everything back to her—small doses, he had said. But... This is a lot.
This isn’t just some small dose. This is just about as big as a dose that anything could be.
“Because,” Tim starts heavily, “I’ll always have your back. As long as you’ll let me.”

Summary
“Tim.”
Tim stiffens and then swallows before turning toward the shower. Lucy has her head poking out, her hair wet and dripping onto the floor as she eyes him up and down, her gaze catching on his groin where he’s almost certainly hard in his pants.
He doesn’t know how long he’s been loitering in the doorway to the bathroom, breathing in the steam and the scent of the vanilla and lavender body wash that Lucy always uses, but it’s long enough that she’d noticed.
Oh, fuck.
OR
Tim joins Lucy in the shower.

Summary
Lucy is momentarily rattled by the realization that yes, of course, they will be sleeping in the same room, likely with a few other teams, but the thought of sleeping next to Tim Bradford every night somehow hadn’t factored into how she had envisioned this would all unfold. In fact, she’s starting to quickly realize that she’d let the glamorous ideas of being on TV and traveling the world and kicking butt in the competition completely box out any practical consideration of what living here in this situation for the next few weeks will actually be like.
She’s jolted from her thoughts when she realizes Tim has come to a stop in one of the bedrooms, depositing her bags on what she assumes will be her bed, and is now pulling off his punch-soaked shirt in front of her.
Her eyes widen in surprise as she numbly processes that, yes, he looks just as good, if not better, as the last time she got to see this particular show.
Get a grip, Lucy tells herself; if the show is anything like prior seasons, she’s going to need to get comfortable with shirtless Tim Bradford and fast.

Summary
There is a saying, and I am paraphrasing, but it says, that railroad tracks can signify a change in your life. A crossing over to a better path so to speak. This story was inspired by a picture of a railroad track in the fall. I had been toying with an idea of single dad Tim who was a successful businessman, owned his own business, had the girl, had all the frills and thrills of life but his life wasn’t complete. He wanted children. However, his wife Ashley didn’t want that. The picture of the railroad tracks brought it all together. (Ashely is not a main character she is mentioned a few times and it isn’t in a positive light. She’s really a piece of trash in this little ditty)

Summary
Anyone looking for a fic where Tim suddenly gains the ability to hear Lucy's thoughts?? Given the fact that she's still his Rookie, Tim's probably going to be in for a surprise when secrets suddenly become nonexistent between them.
----------
Other officers can quote protocol all they want – he knows what it feels like to be trapped behind a wheel, desperate to know if the person next to you is still breathing. He’s lived it far too many times. Procedure doesn’t account for the sheer terror of those moments, the icy grip of helplessness. No checklist can.Which was why, when the world exploded in a symphony of squealing tires and shattering glass, Tim’s first coherent thought wasn’t about the pain in his chest where the seatbelt had caught him or the warm trickle of blood moving down his forehead from where his skull had connected with the window. It was about the rookie currently sitting in his passenger seat.

Summary
"You gotta put your back into it!"
"I'm sorry, you think you could do better?"
"I don't think. I know." Lucy took a few steps forward, uncrossing her arms and gesturing to the bright orange car. Far be it from her to turn down a good opportunity when she saw one. "I'd be happy to help you out. For fifty bucks."
He scoffed, unable to resist the eye roll that came over him as he saw her witty smile. Money makes the world go round. He was starting to believe that was the only certainty of life.
"You can't charge me for being a good samaritan," Tim retorted, a bitterness in his tone. She shrugged.
"I can do whatever I want. I'm not the one whose car broke down in the middle of the road."
