The first time he saw it is seared into his brain forever - the three of them sitting cross-legged in a dorky little triangle on the floor of Shouto’s dorm room, Deku’s scarred hand cupped gently around Shouto’s jaw, the pink flash of his tongue, the front of his shirt balled up in Shouto’s fist. Katsuki had wanted so badly in that moment that he didn’t know what to do with it, not until Deku had tipped Shouto’s face towards him and said your turn, Kacchan.
It’s better like this. Together, all three of them – this is how they’re meant to be.

But try as he might, the thoughts didn’t seem to line up with what was in front of him, the carefree attitudes of the others holding not even a single hint of remembrance, not even a single hint of awareness, and not a single hint of regard for Jade’s sudden silence.
Floyd’s voice struck Jade from behind, like a rock to his skull, bludgeoning him out of his thoughts.
“Ne, Jade, you’re coming with us too, right?”
