Summary
A canon divergence beginning after the Third Task of the Goblet of Fire.
What if healing were possible?
Not the kind won in battles, but the quiet kind that begins when someone finally sees you as you are.
What if Harry — brave, shaken, only fourteen — were given a moment to breathe instead of more demands for strength?
And what if Severus Snape, worn thin by years in the shadows, no longer had to stand alone? In the aftermath of Cedric’s death, Hogwarts receives an unexpected presence: Helena, a healer whose craft is made of stillness and deep listening. Through her, Harry becomes more than the Boy Who Lived, and Snape more than a solitary sentinel.
A story where gentleness, presence, and connection shape the path forward — and where even in wartime, healing might change everything.

Summary
After the war, Severus Snape wakes in silence—alive but voiceless, and convinced that redemption is neither owed nor possible. Eleanor Ashcombe, an art restorer helping to rebuild Hogwarts, believes otherwise.
But when Severus discovers that Eleanor’s past may be even darker than his own, both must confront what healing truly costs in a world caught between atonement and renewal.
A slow-burn story of love, forgiveness, identity, and the quiet courage it takes to begin again.

Summary
“I must not have heard you correctly, Headmaster,” Severus said flatly.
“You did, my boy. This isn’t only a favour to me, you understand.”
“But there must be trust," Severus insisted. "A bond… or some sort of relationship between mentor and pupil for Occlumency to be taught correctly! The only bond the brat and I share is one of mutual loathing.”
“Now, Severus, you are an adult and a Hogwarts professor. Surely, you can find a way to mend broken bridges.”
Broken bridges? Broken bridges? There had never been a "bridge" to begin with! Not with Potter, the carbon copy of his school bully, who spoke, acted, believed himself so superior to anyone else he might as well be the second coming of his father. There had always only been damp planks slogging down a river which separated them on two opposite banks. No bridge to speak of.
OR
Summer of Fifth Year. Dumbledore decides Harry should begin Occlumency immediately. Harry and Snape start seeing a lot of each other. Neither is thrilled, especially when they begrudgingly realise that maybe, possibly, perhaps, they might have more in common than they thought. -
