Reiner shrank, sobs small and hastened. Bertholdt tightened his hold. Reiner's tears and Reiner's saliva soaked themselves into his nightshirt. He felt like a young mother soothing a baby in a hostel— A big baby. A big, brawny baby who kept threatening to get them in trouble.
Bertholdt struggles to soothe Reiner, crying in his sleep. When his guilt-filled wails threaten to compromise their secrecy, Bertholdt resorts to the only thing he can think of to calm him down. (His body knows something is wrong. He feels sick. But he loves him so.)

This was horrible. Sephiroth was relentless. Cloud’s cheeks burned so hot that he felt lightheaded, the constant laughing leaving his stomach muscles irate. He couldn’t even pull his arms down to clutch onto his abdomen, forced to just take it as Sephiroth’s snake-like eyes stared down at him.
Or: Sephiroth teases Cloud.

What’s the big deal?As time goes on, and with a newly discovered little brother to add to the mix, keeping the two lives separated starts to become more difficult. And Foot Guy's requests are only getting weirder. But that's okay. If he gets too weird, Carl can always just block him.

Great sense of mounting suspense and dread; Carl's situation here feels increasingly precarious as the story progresses, and I both fear and look forward to seeing how far he's pushed.
The AI/"Foot Guy" is such a perfectly slimy rendition of the kind of button-pushing boundary-crossing time-hungry breed of pervert, with an added twist around Chapter 6~ onwards that adds another layer and really makes this situation even more treacherous and complex.
Definitely recommend if you're looking for a fic that has you fearful, enticed, and on the edge of your seat the whole time. ♥
