As Detective Du Bois contends with his feelings towards the Lieutenant - now unavoidable due to their constant close proximity - Lieutenant Kitsuragi must tackle the startling resemblance that his new partner holds to a previous partner, and dear dead friend.

Kim and Harry are eager to get intimate, but they have a lot of mental baggage getting in the way. Kim comes out as transmasculine, and Harry grapples with the past. They both try to talk their way through their worries, with varying degrees of success.
