“我从来没失手过，”她无视了他，语气变得焦躁不安。“一次都没有。但现在……我居然没办法完成这个任务，为什么？”
“因为你在害怕。”他直白地说出了真相。“你不敢承认我们都非常清楚的事实。”
艾达抬起下巴，挑衅地看着他。
“所以事实是？”
里昂自认为是个带有强烈自杀倾向的混蛋，于是他把脖子放到屠刀下面：
“你爱上我了。”
艾达一瞬间从椅子上站起来，差点踢到地上的酒瓶，她大步走向里昂，眼里燃烧着火焰般的愤怒，几乎要被鞋跟绊倒。这完全不像她。里昂突然有种取笑她的冲动：她沉着冷静的举止逐渐破碎，原本自信十足的神态在提及“爱”这个词时戛然而止，仿佛爱上她是他对她所能做的最糟糕的事情。
或者说，这篇故事是里昂和艾达多年来的记录。从1998到2026，一直到那枚结婚戒指。
