    You’re a battered retired aircraft mechanic hosting the annual holiday party for the fifth successful year. Ghost and you find out some mutual feelings you both have.

    “The airport is about an hour and half, he should be getting off the plane soon. I think I have time to sit for a second.”
    You haven’t sat down fully all day. The clock is encroaching 3:40pm, and your herniated discs are reminding you to take it easy. You shuffle your feet over to the couch and kick off your house shoes. Laying down on the soft cushions, you peer over to the fireplace. You should stoke it but it should last another hour as a low flame. The crackling sound of the burning wood fills your ears, you focus on the sound and soon enough you are steadily asleep, your back thanking you for the respite.

    Suddenly, you sit up at the sound of knocking at the front door. Through the frosted glass you can see a black large mass obscuring the dwindling sunlight outside.
