Summary
Simon "Ghost" Riley didn't date. There was no official rulebook stating this, certainly, but most people took one look at the tall, brooding man, and didn’t see him as a potential partner. Ghost was fine with this, really. He’d never been one to date – never had the opportunity, if he was to be entirely honest. And he was fine with this.
Until John "Soap" MacTavish came along and demolished this unsaid rule.
OR ghost is bad with feelings, but he's trying to woo the shit out of soap, but soap's oblivious. fluff ensues.

There’s a great many things that Soap enjoys about life in the tower: it’s quiet, he has all the time in the world to dedicate to his own pursuits, his friends visit on occasion, and he has all the fresh fruits and meat he could ever possibly want right at his fingertips. Granted he had those back at the castle and on top of that he didn’t have to cook them himself, but he finds that he quite likes cooking, it’s a great deal like alchemy when all is said and done

Summary
Simon “Ghost” Riley is a lonely motherfucker. If he had it his way, he’d never leave base. But, Price, for whatever reason, thinks that two weeks alone in his own flat every few months is good for his mental health, or whatever. Ghost thinks it's bullshit. Price doesn’t care either way. He’s still sent ‘home.’

Soap whimpered a hurt, wounded sound as his throat clicked, and Ghost wiped some of the waterworks away and thought about how Soap ought to be in a university somewhere gettin' a degree, working in a nice and safe civilian job, and not here on his knees in Ghost’s shitty apartment.
(Ghost came down his throat regardless.)
Or,
Ghost loses his legs in an explosion and is forced into retirement and Soap is a prostitute running from himself.

It started, as most things in the 141 did, with a good natured ribbing and a bet.
“Oh come on mate, come off it, there’s no way the story behind your callsign is classified!” Gaz half shouts. He’s not quite drunk yet, but he is tipsy enough that his control on his volume has become tenuous.
Soap only grins and shrugs. “What can Ah say?”
Alejandro and Rudy groan in frustration. Even Ghost is drawn into the proceedings. “Do you know?” he rumbles at Price.
Their Captain shakes his head. “No, the muppet won’t tell me either.”
OR
No one in the 141 knows how Soap got the name Soap, but they are determined to find out. AKA. How many stories can I make up about Soap's callsign?
