Harry Potter notices something strange on the Marauders Map. His name doesn't show up. Instead, he sees the name Matthew Lupin. Harry gets caught outside of the common rooms one night by Professor Lupin with the map and it changes their lives forever.

Harry doesn't know jack shit about the wizarding world. He realised this during his hearing, falling back on Dumbledore's defence without the faintest idea of whether he was actually in the right. So, he decided he would research. Quickly spiralling into a new love of books, despite how slow-going his reading was, he finally began understanding the workings (and flaws) of the world around him. With the help of his godfather and an unlikely friend, he made his way through fifth year with... minimal losses.

Theodore Nott didn't need friends. He never had before, there was no reason to start now. Tracy was enough for him, he knew that. But after accidentally starting a short conversation with Harry Potter of all people, he started having some doubts. Especially with the way Potter smiled at him.

Summary
During Christmas break of Harry's fifth year, he becomes very ill, and Sirius seems to be the only one to recognize what the disease is. Harry is a Sub who has met his soulmate, and because the bond wasn't consummated before they parted ways, it's killing him. Since Dumbledore doesn't seem to know or care, Sirius decides that he has to take action, and in doing so, changes the tides of the war for just about everyone.

Many had called Igor Karkaroff a weak man over the years but few would call him stupid; self serving yes, but not stupid. That very nature was what brought him to a sleepy suburb of Surrey in July 1991. You see he knew that Harry Potter would now be old enough to attend a school, he'd done the maths, and while the whole of wizarding Britain assumed that the boy would attend Hogwarts, like all good British wizards should, Igor thought he might offer the boy an alternative to try to persuade the young 'saviour' to his school. He could already imagine the coup it would be to pull that feather right from under Dumbledore's nose and, luckily for him, Harry Potter doesn't even seem to need that much persuading.
Join Harry as he learns to be a wizard in a very different magical environment and see the changes that can happen when you are free to make your own choices in life.
