Summary
Ai all but hurls herself from her chair, wrapping her arms around his torso and pulling him into a crushing hug. Aqua makes a noise of protest.
"Ai, that's a little tight."
Ai doesn't reply, she just hugs him harder. Her shoulders start to shake. Aqua had all but forgotten what her embrace felt like. He had only dimly recalled her warmth and the way she would sometimes touch his hair, ruffling it affectionately or as now, lifting her hand to gently stroke the back of his head.
Spoilers for Ch 164. Aqua wakes up and sees his mother. Tsukuyomi must be showing him another dream.

Summary

Adora finds herself a deserter of both the Horde and the Eternian forces; seeking refuge in the only place in the galaxy left to her, she struggles to figure out what kind of life she wants to lead on Etheria Station now that she isn't a soldier any more. It doesn't take long for Catra to show up on the station, claiming that she's defected from the Horde, but Adora can't shake the feeling that of all the Horde's covert operatives, Catra is the one most uniquely qualified to successfully pull off a delicate 'retrieval' of a wayward Force Captain Adora.

What had terrified me was Ai. She'd become something otherworldly and inhuman that night, an unstoppable force of nature that swept up everything in her wake. She was a star, brighter than any of the rest of us, burning so brilliantly that she eclipsed everything else in her path. I watched her, paralyzed, as she captivated the hearts of the entire stadium and I was stricken by the overwhelming realization that once again, I would never measure up. No matter how hard I practiced, no matter how much I sacrificed, I would never be able to reach that same height she had.
Oh, I had thought. So that's what true talent looks like.

Summary
The woman stands out like a sore thumb - not because she's tall (she isn't) or because she's dressed particularly ostentatiously (she isn't). If anything, she's perfectly nondescript - plain features, clothes that are neither flashy nor dull, mousy brown hair hanging in a limp bob around her face. She's stood at the back of the crowd, motionless in contrast the heaving, writhing mass of bodies packed into the venue. She's staring up at Ai and yet, somehow, it feels as though she's looking through her rather than at her.
The world seems to slow to a crawl. Sound fades out until she can hear nothing but the dull pounding of blood in her ears.
Without meaning to, she lets out a soft noise - the sound of a girl who'd just seen a ghost.
