Summary
Most believe she is dead, but a few know the truth: Commander Shepard is alive.
With the pull of a trigger, she made a decision which would would seal the fate of billions of lives across the Milky Way galaxy, but the aftermath of her choice left her own fate up in the air. As Earth and many other planets throughout the galaxy now have the chance to rebuild thanks to her, they do so mostly on their own with limited technology and resources.
Her continued existence, due to a classified part of the Lazarus Project called Icarus, simultaneously poses a threat to the many while offering a potentially greater reward to the few. What would happen if Shepard defeated the Reapers and survived to now be the most valuable asset to rebuild and improve upon tech that was destroyed with the enemy?
As various races across the galaxy work to reestablish themselves, some aim to come out on top. As this ambition puts Shepard and her loved ones at risk, they quickly learn that new dangers ahead of them won't make them forget the challenges they've faced thus far. Every battle they've fought couldn't prepare them for what's to come. Even when a war ends, there is still so much to fight for.
