Summary
In different settings, different facets of Mollymauk’s bodily presentation seemed to imply different things about his person to the public, despite the fact that it was the same mind, the same wit, and the same fragment of a soul.
Which was why, when he next showed up at Caleb’s cottage door in Rexxentrum, his greetings to Caleb were in the form of a fruit basket and a question:
“Here, Caleb, try the pineapple. It’ll dissolve your tongue a little in the best way possible. Can you make me a pussy?”
TL;DR, Mollymauk decides to see if changing his physical body helps him understand a single thing about the nebulous concept of Gender even a little bit more. Turns out it's more complicated than that.

Summary
Caleb needed to fidget. Molly knew this. It was impossible not to notice, as Caleb was a heavy thinker and seemed to need something to do with his hands while he did it. It was fine when he was at a desk scribbling notes down or working on sigils and equations, but when he was simply reading or deep in thought his hands wandered for lack of anything to occupy them.
This proves to be Molly's downfall.
(tl;dr, Caleb unthinkingly grabs Molly's tail to fidget with and it gets very sexy from there.)
