    Summary

The Yōkai weren't the ones to discover Mizuki was a double agent. The Hashimoto were-- and they did not permit traitors. After nearly dying to save the Yōkai he'd grown so attached to, Mizuki can only hope to find a place in the newly reborn Overwatch.

    Luckily, he's in good hands.

Post Recall, post fall of Gibraltar, Mizuyang/Seaturtle with some background Spuriken and whoever else I get convinced to ship

6/14/26 edit: I have apparently been graced with prophetic abilities in regards to Overwatch so I have minor changes to add Shion into the mix. This was written before Facing Demons and Shions release but... damn I was close!

This is based on an amazing angsty fanart by @lokki.png on Instagram <3 shoutout to another commenter who said they’d add this to their Angst collection HAHAHAH

Cyno’s chest heaved and hitched as he coughed up water, choking as he doubled over, trying and failing to steady his breaths. On his hands and knees, he turned his head, breathing heavily, staring wide eyed at the limp body beside him.

    “Alhaitham?…”

    Or…

Cyno and Alhaitham get ambushed by Eremites in the desert and Alhaitham gets hurt 😔 then they have to get out of the there but shit goes down 😮💨(shit does go down but not after I’m so sorry I ran out of motivation to write chapter two so stabbing is all you get)
