Summary
Eloise Marie Thompson was born on a sunny day in Hershey, Pennsylvania to eighteen-year-old Rebecca Thompson. She grew up with a single-parent, though that term was used loosely. Her mother was more interested in partying than raising her. It had only been the last three years that Rebecca decided to step it up, so naturally she had to die in a car accident on her way to work. It had taken the social worker a few days to get a copy of Eloise's birth certificate, and that was how she learned that she did, in fact, have a father.

Summary
Buck’s phone starts ringing in his pocket. He sighs and checks the caller ID, staring in confusion at the unfamiliar number.
“Uh, hello?”
“Hello there, is this Evan Buckley?” A woman’s voice is heard through the phone.
“May I ask who’s calling?”
“My name is Hope Williams, from Child Protective Services. I was wondering if you had a moment to schedule a meeting on behalf of Charlotte Davis?”
“I-I’m sorry, I think you must have called the wrong Evan Buckley. Who is Charlotte Davis?”
Or
Buck finds out he has a 7-year-old daughter. Buck finds out a lot of stuff, actually.

Summary
“I'm not in love with you.” There’s a jolt in Eddie’s stomach at that. “I’m not secretly pining for you, or anything like that. I don’t even see you that way.”
“Oh,” Eddie says, then forces out a laugh he hopes sounds casual. Buck’s eyes are wide, honest, like he’s desperate for Eddie to be reassured by this admission, to believe him. And how much clearer could he be? He’s not in love with Eddie. That’s fine. Eddie never expected him to be. His now empty beer bottle hits the counter too loudly, “No, of course not.”
Or: Buck reassures Eddie that he's not in love with him. Eddie feels some type of way about that.

Summary
“Hey, Eddie, can I ask you a question?”
Ravi presses his tongue to the inside of his cheek nervously, and Eddie already knows what the question is going to be before it even leaves his mouth.
“I might be totally off base here, but… Were you not into the whole wingman thing because you're really not ready?...Or was it because we were trying to set you up with…women?”
Or: After clocking Eddie on their big night out, Ravi confronts him about the real reasons for his odd behavior.
Or: A post-episode 7 speculation (Eddie POV) where Ravi has really good gaydar, and is a good friend to Eddie about it.

Summary
For a moment, Eddie is quiet.
He stares. Blinks. Stares some more, his mouth opening and closing around nothing.
And then all at once, he zeroes in on the photo collage across the room, and his body goes completely still.
They’re all couples. Happy, blissful, newly married couples, still in their suits and long white dresses, holding each other close beneath the familiar branches of a willow tree. The same branches billowing in the wind outside Eddie’s bedroom window.
A wedding venue. He woke up in a wedding venue.
His wedding venue.
or: Eddie wakes up on the morning of his and Buck’s wedding. Except, Eddie is straight, and him and Buck aren’t together.
