Echo'a Velundaleht, Warrior of Light, Bringer of Hope and the bane of any villain's existence.
Or so the moniker goes. It changes, sure, adapting as needed to appease the masses or be used against him, but that doesn't mean he ever likes it. Not when there's more than just enemy blood on his hands and situations rob him of those he cares about.
At some point he's going to stop caring. At some point, he's going to be done with all their stupidity and the endlessness of it all and simply watch the world burn just because he could.
That thought scares him more than his own death does and he can't help but wonder for how much longer it will.
At least he has the Scions. If he had been on his own, he would have shattered a long time ago. He just hopes he hasn't leaned too heavily on them in turn.
Contains predominantly Shadowbringers and Endwalker content with a sprinkling of A Realm Reborn and Heavenward in the beginning, game transcript used heavily in places.
Chapter names are the main scenario quest names (and two role quests). Unnamed chapters contain content across several quest or are bonus chapters - such as Ch22 being a "what if" scenario and Ch34 being Azem's chapter. -

But something is wrong, whenever he uses his Drive Forms he reverts back with no memory of the battle. When he goes missing his friends begin to search for him, but what they find is horrifying.

Summary
One month after the events of Kingdom Hearts III, Aqua has reached out to the other Keyblade wielders to ask with finding her old armour and Keyblade. Stored in the basement of Radiant Garden's castle, a world that had become unfamiliar to Aqua as a decade has passed, she asked for help with retrieving it. Roxas offered to join her, the offer bearing the potential of an unlikely duo. Though they'd met a month prior, it was hard to deny how little they actually knew each other. Perhaps this would be a good chance to understand Roxas properly, Aqua would ponder as she stood in front of that massive castle.
"Atone and Repay" is a long-running, Roxas and Ventus-centric fanfiction that takes place after the events of Kingdom Hearts III. Be warned for story spoilers for KH3, Re:Mind, Union Cross, and even Dark Road.

This is a good story, with lots of character study, but I don't know if it'll ever update. Fluffy, with hurt and comfort. One of the first few stories I read on this site.
