Summary

Greg is left to care for Steven on his own with the reluctant help of his own family as Steven grows up knowing little to nothing about his gem half. But an incident that occurs when he's 14 is about to change all of that.

Connie had seen many strange things in her life: a multi-armed woman carved into the side of a mountain, the recent mini earthquakes that sounded like something screeching, her mom’s version of chicken tikka masala that was more mystery meat than actual food—But the giant pink-haired boy on a bicycle took the cake.
(Or, a redo of the Episode "Bubble Buddies", where Steven inherited more of Pink Diamond's physical characteristics than in the show and it shows.)

It’s then that he asks Steven the same thing, even though he knows the answer. “Well. Did you?”

Summary
Steven Quartz Universe had a normal life. Normal friends, normal family, normal Gem piercing on his navel that his dad gave him when he was younger because of his dead mom. Oh wait, that’s not normal. All Steven has really wanted was an exciting life. Now, his life is flipped upside down after he discovers where his gem truly came from, and he wants nothing more than to go back to his normal life.
