Wade’s an observant guy. He knows that something fishy went down a ways back near the Statue of Liberty, and that something fishy happened as a result. But once they fixed up the Statue of Liberty, everyone moved on from it the way they move on from every freaky thing that happens, so learning much more than that has been harder than finding Blind Al’s hidden stash of cocaine. And Wade is also a busy guy, so unless he has some reason to care, he’s gonna make like his old man and fuck off about it.
This, though, might be a reason to care.

如今他却完全变了个样子，知道和谁碰杯时应该不动神色地压下酒杯、知道怎么巧妙地回应巧舌如簧之人的冷嘲热讽。
这让更多人对他着迷了，因为诸如此类的小公子们都不免显得世俗，波特先生却如同以往一样亲切而随和，甚至能够以清澈去形容。
如果是那个身后飞扬着猩红斗篷的哈利·波特是太阳，那晚宴上举杯的哈利·波特就是仍照耀着大地的皎月，衿贵到最野心勃勃的淑女也不敢对他谄媚。没人见过他散宴后带着任何一家的女儿离去，那他又会去哪儿呢？
