‘Huh.’ The visual’s eyes narrow, her voice suspicious, curious, mocking.
Without warning she pushes back the covers, straddling Rumi expertly as she tips her chin to meet her gaze.
‘Did you really think this would make us hate you?’ Her voice drops, almost purring with smug satisfaction as she traces Rumi’s jawline to flickers of golden light.
