Cloud Strife is just a boy from Nibelheim, no older than nine. Soon after finding a mysterious amber crystal, he finds himself hunted by a dragon and, in desperation, sends a call through the aether. His call is answered. Tristan Chase is your average Eorzean adventurer, fighting threats to the Realm with bow and axe. When a call rings across the aether, he answers and finds himself defending a young boy from a dragon.
Here is the twist, though : Cloud and Tristan are the alternate selves of a single being, and their encounter creates a bond between them. From this bond comes friendship and, above all, power. The pair will need both to defend their respective homes from those who seek to ravage it, all the while seeking the answer to a certain question:

Dumbledore is speaking to Harry and telling him about the Order of the Phoenix’s mission — too bad the Order is as useless as ever. Almost as useless as the Ministry, who have gotten their claws into Hogwarts, ignoring Voldemort’s return and forcing Harry further and further into the political spotlight (something Theo seems to enjoy too much for Harry’s liking). But things can only get better from here, right?

Summary
Midoriya Izuku is having a terrible day. He’s told to take a swan dive off of a roof, nearly suffocated by a villain, told he couldn’t be a hero by his favorite hero of all people - and all of that’s before he gets kidnapped by a giant, tentacled ship flying through the sky and has a worm put into his brain alongside a hero who tried to save him.
What in the hell is a quirkless kid supposed to do in this situation? The only thing he can, he supposes - try his best.
OR: A Baldur's Gate 3/My Hero Academia crossover wherein Midoriya and Aizawa are taken by the Mind Flayer ship as it attempts to flee the githyanki and both wind up in the middle of a plot concocted by an evil, terrifying cult. Midoriya wants to help, Aizawa wants Midoriya to stop running headfirst into danger, and everyone who meets them wants to know what the hell an All Might is.

Desmond fulfilled his destiny, as was foretold. He lived four different lifetimes, give or take a few, and just wanted some damned rest, away from responsibility and the weight of the world on his shoulders. What does he get instead? A new world to save and a fantastical evil he was in no way prepared for. An Assassin works in the shadows, but Desmond is raised up as the figurehead of a religion he doesn't believe in, to save a world not his own, and be the leader of an army. The question isn't can he do it, the question is how.

Summary
The next movement was so incredibly fast, Harry wasn't even sure what had happened until he saw his mugger fall backwards, a knife embedded in his head. There was a small pool of blood, and he recoiled from the shocking display of violence. The man stood there completely unperturbed, and Harry wondered what he would do next. He went into a state of panic when he came right for him, and Harry scrambled back from him.
The man paused, hesitating, and crouched down to be at eye level with Harry. He was good-looking, thought Harry absently, and his face could have passed off as nobility if he hadn't casually murdered a man in front of him.
"Are you alright kid?" there was genuine concern in his voice, and Harry was torn between trusting him and blasting him away with a magical outburst.
OR
Harry gets expelled in his second year. He runs from the Dursleys, goes to London, and meets the Assassin twins- Jacob and Evie.
And then it just spirals from there.
