!Last of Us 2 Fix It!

Genes shape immunity—buried in bloodlines, hidden in DNA. For decades, science overlooked hereditary immunity. Now, in a world where survival is war, it’s the key to the future.

Immunity should be a gift. Instead, for Ellie, it’s a curse-a direct path to her worst fear. When forces outside of Jackson seek out the 'immune girl', and find her? They won’t let her go—not when she is the answer. And, some answers demand to be found, no matter the cost.

Abby once believed vengeance would set her free. That if she took back what was stolen, she could move forward. Instead, she’s spent years following orders, only to realize too late that the cause she gave everything for is cracking at the seams. Now, thanks to her actions, the one person who could help save everything—is her worst enemy.

Hatred has drawn their paths together. Survival will force them to face the truth: that moving forward means leaving something behind. That no war, no cause, no revenge will ever fill the hollow spaces inside them. And that even in the darkest corners of the world, there’s still a choice.

    There’s still a way forward.
FYI, I don't support winter golf on mountains (do with that as you will)

    Summary

Joel Miller had never stepped out of line.

He had listened and done exactly what Coriolanus Snow expected of a Victor. When he was told to smile, he smiled. When summoned for interviews or propaganda spots, he showed up clean-shaven and compliant. When his body was auctioned off to the highest bidder, he walked into hotel rooms and did what he was told. He had played the game.

So when Sarah Miller’s name was drawn for the 48th annual Hunger Games, Joel Miller nearly fell to his knees.

And 20 years later, the hardened man is drawn out of his shell when he mentors Ellie Williams in the 68th Annual Hunger Games.

    Summary

Tommy sighs, scrubbing a hand over his pinched face. He has a pretty good idea about what happened there, and it’s twisting the knife in his heart a full three-sixty. Joel, in pain and delirious with it, stuck twenty years in the past and begging for his baby girl. Probably with a head injury to boot. “My brother has no living children, ma’am. He might be experiencing some confusion.”

“Your brother is unconscious, Mr. Miller. He isn’t experiencing anything at the moment. And I can assure you, the minor in our care is very much alive.”

    Summary

“Woah.” Ellie’s face is inches away from her window when Tess looks back, her gaze fixed on the deer. “They’re so big.”

“There’s a whole lot of things bigger than them,” Tess snorts.

“The only animals I’ve seen are birds and dogs.”

    Right.

Joel rolls down his window and she’s hit with a blast of cold air to the face. She’s thankful, actually, as the roar of the wind fills the car, drowning out any of the kid’s attempts at further conversations. He rolls it back up once the sun has started to set, the insects beginning their evening songs.
