Since Joel's murder, Ellie's been in that state twice - once when she had Dina, Jesse, and Tommy to watch over her and take care of her as they hunted down Abby, and then again now as she hunts Abby down on her own. But now she's alone. Her pack is completely gone, Jesse dead and Dina and Tommy despising her, Ellie even being kept away from her own pup, JJ. This state has gone on for months and no help is coming as Ellie becomes borderline catatonic.
Until Abby finds Ellie at death's door, and it doesn't matter if Ellie hates her, what kind of Alpha would she be to let an Omega suffer like that?
