Summary
“Off you go,” Hua Cheng said, childishly shooing the two generals with a wave of his hand.
“No,” Xie Lian said. “You too. Go along with them, San Lang.”
Everyone, with the exception of Xie Lian, made a distasteful face.
“Is that really necessary?” Feng Xin asked.
All of a sudden, Mu Qing laughed, barely hiding it behind his closed fist. Hua Cheng directed his sneer that way, and the room was immediately filled with an almost murderous aura. Before the walls had a chance to come crumbling down, or even worse, before someone died, Xie Lian stuck a hand out from under the blanket again and took Hua Cheng by the sleeve, giving him a tug. It captured his attention like a moth to a flame.
“I’ll be fine here,” Xie Lian assured. “So… I’d really appreciate it if you would help them out.”
Falling ill and ending up desperate to get a bit of rest, Xie Lian sends his three favourite people on a wild goose chase for some herbs that may or may not exist.

Summary

Summary
Hua Cheng’s eye crinkled. He brought his hands from behind his head and rolled to his side. Facing Xie Lian, he gently reached out with one hand, lightly tugging at the one Xie Lian had pressed to his mouth, slipping a finger beneath it. Hua Cheng requested, “Won’t you let me hear them now, too?”
Nodding, Xie Lian brought it down, letting Hua Cheng hear every rapid, whine-laced breath.
“Good,” Hua Cheng praised. “I’ll ask again. Do you know what I do next, gege?”
“I—” Xie Lian stopped. Good. Suddenly, every muscle in his body was taut. Panting through it, he shook his head. He moaned weakly, “No.”
Reflecting on the events at Qiandeng Temple, Xie Lian longs for such intimacy again and reveals that to Hua Cheng. While Hua Cheng would never dream of turning him down, he seduces the bashful Xie Lian into being explicit about what he desires.
