Summary
Espresso Cookie was one of the many who've woken up in the battlefield. As consciousness came to him he slowly stood up and scanned the grounds around him. There was little movement but he saw that most cookies were alive and well – as well as they could be for now.
Espresso thought for a moment. Something was odd. There was something amiss, something he couldn’t quite pinpoint.

Summary
Two brothers sat on the field. One still and content, forever grateful for the escape death was. Oblivious to the sorrow it had brought to others.
The other shivered, sobs racking his body. Forever mourning the loss of a brother he loved dearly.

Summary
“I don’t understand,” repeated Wriothesley. He could have said it until his vocal chords tore to shreds, and his eyes melted away into nothingness. “I don’t understand why you want me, Neuvillette. I’m not a good omega. I’m not even a good person.”
Neuvillette looked at him. The Iudex looked so fond, and so, so sad.
--
No one would ever love a sickly omega like Wriothesley. He couldn't have pups. Couldn't mate. Couldn't even nest.

Summary
“Alright, I’ll bite,” Dean says slowly as he walks down the stairs. “What happened to him?”
Right then, Jack runs right in front of Cas who, in one quick swoop, picks him up. He kicks his feet and reaches down towards the floor, but Cas stays firm and settles Jack in his arms. He gives Dean a wary look over Jack’s head and says, “It’s a long story.”
(Or, Jack gets turned into a two year old and Dean and Cas figure it out.)

Summary
“You don’t have to stand guard out here. Not on a night like tonight,” Jinhsi called across the courtyard as she approached her, her pale-lashes down-turned as she watched Sanhua’s fingers marking mantras, bead by bead.
Sanhua said nothing. Her lady’s light was often blinding, even in the dark. The light came in waves; gentle at times and torrential at others. Now, all was calm and still; like the lights in the sky that glistened in her snowy eyes.
“You don’t have to do this alone,” Jinhsi offered quietly, as she came nearer.
“I thought to let you sleep,” Sanhua murmured.
“You don’t have to do that alone, either,” Jinhsi pointed out charmingly.

Summary
Never once had Tommy thought any less of his familiar, never had he thought the piglet was anything other than extraordinary. Holding his small familiar in his arms and exclaiming to the crowd with stars in his eyes that one day the two of them would be heroes. Proudly showing both of his parents the newest addition to their family, unaware of the anguish in their eyes.

Summary
Phil looks visibly upset, and Tommy wonders if he said something wrong. “Okay, um. How often would you say your wings hurt?”
This answer was more immediate. “Oh, every day for sure. Not like, every second of every day but definitely every day.”
A shaking hand rose to cover Phil’s mouth. “We need to figure that out, mate.”
This time it’s Tommy who takes the pause. “You’re telling me that’s not normal?”
Or, Tommy is an avian with hypermobility and accidentally drank too much joint hurty juice
