Summary
After a routine hunt turns strange, Dean Winchester finds himself reacting to Castiel in ways he can’t explain, and definitely doesn’t want to examine too closely.
The problem is, angels apparently come with instincts nobody warned him about.
Castiel is in heat. Dean is his mate. And Heaven is very interested in what happens next.
As hunts stack up, tempers flare, and the distance between them becomes impossible to ignore, Dean and Cas are forced to confront something far more dangerous than monsters.

Jealousy ensues, insecurities show, then a love confession sealed with a kiss. And of course, some younger sibling shenanigans from Sam.

Summary
Dean hasn't been the best brother or son. He used to get into trouble, a lot. Now that he has his head on straight, Dean wants to reconnect with Sam, be brothers again. After making plans to visit Sam, he checks into the oddest motel he's ever seen, the Mystery Spot Inn. Checking in was easy enough, but leaving? That's a different story.

“If you’re talking about the time you ate all those souls…you had to be stopped, Cas.”
“I agree,” Castiel shrugged, “But would you have tried to kill me if I was human and had caused such chaos?”
A muscle in Dean’s jaw rippled, “We don’t deal with humans, that’s what the cops are for!”
“Dean…” Sam admonished softly, stricken.
Dean blinked, stunned by his own words. “I mean…I didn’t mean –“
Castiel swallowed, closing his eyes against a lance of pain in his chest that had nothing to do with the binding or the sigil. “Yes, you did. And its true, in any case.” Castiel gave him an out, but the words stung. He wasn’t human. Which meant he was – in a hunter’s mind – a creature.
An animal.
Something inside him felt like it was icing over...

Summary
Castiel doesn’t know where the runaway in Dean has gone, but he’s not sure that man exists anymore. The omega in his backseat has been badly broken. He hasn’t said a word to Castiel; hasn’t protested aside from flinching, hasn’t even pleaded to be spared. He’s just… empty. Tired. Castiel can smell layers of fear, sour and old on the omega’s skin, an emotion so often felt that it’s now a permanent stain on his scent. He can only begin to imagine what Dean has been through to put him in this state of apathy.
