It was plain - utilitarian. None of the decorations or accents that Julian had seen on his other pieces. Somehow, that made it even worse. He doesn't think it's sexy. It's just something he wears.
As the laces began to loosen, Garak rolled his shoulders and sighed a little in pleasure.

This isn’t their first attempt to relieve Viktor’s stress. Viktor’s been wound tighter and tighter every day over the last several weeks, it seems. He’s in and out of bed, joining Jayce sometimes as late as three in the morning and then still tossing and turning, and Jayce can’t do much but avoid the condescension of asking can I help and just quietly try to help.

All he could think about was Silco’s fingers—long and slender, presently idling themselves with the condensation on his glass. He’d seen them do plenty of things. Seen them covered in soot, seen them gripping the handle of a hammer, seen them splitting rocks when they were really suited for the delicate grasp of a pencil. But in all his years of friendship, he’d never expected to see them do that.
