They just mash their stupid bodies together and call it love and they don’t understand anything at all.”
Asa and Denji continue meeting after he misses their second date. Neither of them could say why.

The door creaked something fierce as it opened. Cold air grazed Denji’s face. He truly didn’t know what to expect behind it, but even so, he couldn’t possibly have been less prepared for who stood in front of him.
A petite girl he’d never seen before. She looked to be around his age, but a few inches shorter than him. Dark, burgundy hair messily draped past her shoulders, with bangs that almost obscured her eyes.
The eyes. Those eyes. Red ringed, with irises of pure gold. His jaw fell slack, his heart pounded. He would recognize them anywhere, but… it couldn’t be. Right?
The third Control Devil shows up at Denji's doorstep.

incredibly high-quality and enjoyable experience all around, frankly even if you're not in the deltarune fandom. this could easily stand on its own. reading it gave me a deeper appreciation of my own impact on the world and a better understanding of cause and effect in narratives. probably one of the best explorations of practical applications of time loops and the struggle with using them to ethical ends and maintaining your humanity in all of fiction. strongly recommended to ANYONE who can spare the time for it

Kobeni couldn't hack it in Public Service. That first day was too terrible and she turned in her badge then and there. But nothing pays like a government gig, and when the scary trainer man with the scarred mouth came knocking, she didn't have the budget to turn him away.
Still, helping one kid adjust to the big city and looking out for him, for just as much as devil hunting? If there was something she could do, it was look after a kid for a bit. She could help a teenager adjust to a new life. Maybe. Hopefully. If she didn't fuck it up.
She knew it was too good to be true.
