Summary
Finally equipped with a ship of their own, the avenging party are at last able to persue the evil sorcerer Dhoulmagus once again. However Dhoulmagus left for the Western Continent many months ago, the largest continent in the world - will they be able to find him, and will they have the strength to finally take him down before he murders again?
The third part of a re-telling/re-imagining of Dragon Quest 8 written before the remake, expanding on characters and world-building to the point that I'm labelling this an AU. Not a word-for-word repeat, although there are some direct quotes. Eight is not mute, and not called Eight. Obviously, reading Vol. A and B first is recommended.
This is/was my first story, and the first one cross-posted to this site. Feedback is appreciated, but I may be slow responding to comments.

Summary

I always enjoy Taylor mentor stories, even if this isn't actually a mentor story. But bringing her experience to help raise the group of reformed villains into heroes and everyone's reactions to her general insanity was fun. I hope this continues.

Summary
Shadow Stalker, Sophia Hess, has been doxxed, publically unmasked. Armsmaster and Miss Militia must investigate to determine who has broken both the law, and the Unwritten Rules.
There current suspect, identified by Hess herself, is Taylor Hebert: a troubled young girl with a history of delinquincy.
In order to close this case quickly, Armsmaster makes a choice. This choice gives them twenty four hours in Master/Stranger interrogation to determine if, and how, Hebert was involved in the unmasking.
A criminal and investigative drama, as the two heroes find just how wide a web they have stumbled into.

I thought the initial premise of how Taylor looks to the heroes was a good one, but wow, I actually didn't see the twists coming. This is great, I really enjoyed it, but I do wonder what the resolution is going to be.

There's so much emphasis on why there's nothing Danniel Hebert can do for his daughter in canon. I generally think that is a plot blinder put on so that the show can go on. But in reality?

Yes, this is exactly how Danny should have behaved in canon. If he'd stepped up at literally any point, Taylor might not have taken over the Bay. He gets points for trying during the eventual interrogation, and I'm not going to hold it against him for freaking out after she seemingly murders Alexandria out of nowhere, but the rest? All his fault.

Summary
In Taylor's freshman year of Winslow, tragedy strikes from an unexpected angle. Freshly orphaned, she begins to rebuild her life as best as she can, despite countless challenges in her way.
However, just as things begin to look up, a certain gaming duo cross Shadow Stalker, the freshly inducted member of the Brockton Bay Wards.
In the end, this encounter results in a much younger Taylor's forceful exile from Earth Bet.
Thankfully, the timing was just ironic enough to send her along the path of a chosen hero towards the magical land of Elfrieden. A kingdom that would soon understand the true meaning of family, found or otherwise.

I'm glad this is getting continued! I'm a fan of both series, although I have issues with how the two of them ended, and it's a crossover that I never expected to see. I have to say that you won't understand it unless you're already familiar with the Realist Hero series.

I'm a big fan of Arknights, so this caught my attention. I missed the recent Sankta event, but this version of the law seems much more draconian compared to the one in-game, but I enjoyed reading how people reacted to the law, both those affected by it and those witnessing it and feeling it unnatural.
