Little did he know, eventually the light would permanently fade away.

When Cuphead and Mugman’s birthday rolls around again, they get roped into hearing another one of Elder Kettle’s long-winded stories. Cuphead is just relieved for the distraction from his soul debt to the Devil, but soon realizes it’s different this time, since it’s a story he and Mugman have been wanting to hear for a long time: the story of how he found Cuphead and Mugman and decided to raise them as his own.
