Summary
Distance, as they say, makes the heart grow fonder. But it also leaves the soul empty; nights as lonely as the stars above. It's a cold thing, distance, much like the trail that leads up to the cabin hidden from most, guarded by a fox with a flame in his heart. But no amount of snow will keep Keith from reaching Lance, closing the distance between them with each eager step.
For it's the return that has the most impact, turning the tears of sadness into ones of joy, and allowing kisses to be met with hungry lips and needy hands, mouths hardly fitting together as smiles burn into cheeks.
It's good to be home.

Summary
Photography has always been an passion of Keith's. Being able to capture that perfect moment - grant it immortality and unleash it to the world so that the people may decide what stories they tell - is what he lives for.
So when given the opportunity to expand his horizons, Keith finds himself on a month long excursion in the middle of nowhere, with only his camera and his own thoughts to keep him company.
And this forest - this mountainous landscape seemingly untouched by human hands - holds more than just a vast array of scenic landscapes and wondrous wildlife worthy of being captured in film.
It holds a secret. One Keith hadn't anticipated discovering, much less believing. And though they say "take only pictures, leave only footprints", Keith worries that when he finally has to return to his mundane world, he'll be leaving more than just tracks on the ground.
But his heart has always belonged to the woods, and he knows the fox will guard it well.

Summary
“I should let you get back to them,” he sighed, “you guys are missing the festival.” Keith turned back to him quickly, a look of disappointment briefly flashing across his face. He nodded though, staring at the coffee still sitting between them.
“I guess,” his voice was low, and Lance detected a hint of hesitation in it. Too cute.
“But you know,” he went on, and Keith glanced up hopefully. “I’m here all day. And tomorrow. And, in case you forgot,” he dropped his voice so Keith had to lean forward to hear the rest, “the food trucks all close down at around eight, so...” he trailed off, hoping the boy would get the hint.

Summary
Lance is married, for fuck’s sake, and Keith being weirdly comfortable with him is not helping at all – not in the slightest.
The light reflects on a piece of silver metal on Keith’s hand as his fingers play with Lance’s.
He zeroes in on it, his breath catching in his throat.
It’s a thin silver ring that sits nicely on his left ring finger, adorned with an even thinner golden band around it, perfectly matching, and mirroring the ring that Lance found on his bathroom counter this morning.
Oh, no way. No, no, no, no. Absolutely not.
This has to be some kind of cruel joke.
There is no way that the person he’s married to in the future is Keith.
or: Lance unwillingly takes one for the team and wakes up ten years in the future.
