Summary
The fates have always been challenged but the mortals who challenged them knew the rules of the game they were playing.
But what happens when a mortal outside of the bounds of divinity challenges their authority without even knowing the consequences of his actions?
The heroics of mortals has risen. Divine blood doesn't define heroism anymore especially in the city of stubborn bats and lunatics.
The fates get cruel when their power is threatened. The underworld does not take kindly to it's divinity being accessible to outsiders.
Until order is restored it falls to the Son of Hades to deal with what never should have his fight.
So...nothing new?

Summary
It had been months since Batman had stopped attending meeting he used to be diligently before time for. Everyone's quiet concern had led Clark to the gritty city across the bay, though he took no ferry. Clark returned with a haunted look of someone who'd witnessed a murder. Close enough to it at least.
That same day a message came through from Gotham.
Out of commission until further notice.

"Watchtower to Titans' tower, the league requires assistance in Gotham, alien invasion, large enough scale but concentrated enough for maintaining a perimeter, spaceship approaching earth’s atmosphere within 7 hours, requesting backup immediately."
Every head in the Titans tower common room snapped to attention, "This is the Titans; we will be ready for arrival in..." Kori looked at the other in the room helplessly. All of the core Titans but one... "30 minutes." She finished.
Don’t call unless someone’s dead or dying.
Or; Dick finds his way home after too long running from his emotions and Batman learns to trust a little.

His father was gone. But maybe he could learn to be ok. It would still take time. There was no normal for him to have. But maybe he could make one. With Dick’s arms around him—though they didn’t fit as well as they once did—Damian felt safer…
But keeping the loneliness at bay was temporary. He was his father’s son after all.
And he was going to be the next Batman.

For them moving forward meant carrying a piece of you through the world. I didn’t get to have that…you did not pull through old man…you did not pull through in time.”
Or, Bruce Wayne is dead, and Jason does not know what to do.
