“Why are you out here?” The woman asks.
“I don’t really know. You?” She answers truthfully.
“I don’t really know.” She parrots.
"Are you from Niko’s side of the family?”
She laughs lightly. “Oh no, I did the flowers.”
“Oh, well thank you. I liked my flowers.”
Eve cannot recall what her flowers looked like in the slightest. They were probably nice.

Eve has a quite average life if you ask her, she works an office job, she goes out for drinks on Friday, and she's marrying a math's teacher. All the trappings of a life destined for predictability. At least that is until her wedding when she encounters a florist who she finds herself running into over and over again. It's not like the intrusion is unwelcome.

Eve stops walking entirely. "So, Emily is supposed to be comfortable with random men showing up in her home? Spending the night there?"
Villanelle lets out an unexpected laugh.
"You find this funny?"

Eve is already struggling with the idea of her daughter moving out for university.
Finding out Emily’s new roommate is exactly the kind of trouble Eve never wanted around her daughter only makes things worse.
