Summary
If Holden had to describe Stradlater as one thing, it would be a handsome bastard.
His teeth are irritatingly straight, he’s built like one of the Roman athletes in the books the morons at Pencey Prep worship, and he shaves maybe a thousand times a damn day. He even looks like a handsome bastard in pictures. Not a hair out of place. His smile tugs at his eyes as if it’s not a phony just for the photo. And he’ll act like the smile is real, too. He’s just a damn phony sometimes, that’s all. Not a real bad phony, like that old slob Thurmer, just a phony. Holden swears those are the only reasons he cares that the bastard is going out with Jane. That and the fact that Stradlater is horrible with chicks. He hadn’t even bothered to learn Jane’s name. Jean. As if.
So those are the only reasons.

Summary
Spray painting dicks on the side of an abandoned building seemed like a fun enough dare in the moment, but now that they're hiding from the police in a stuffy closet, it isn't as fun as Alfred thought it'd be.
