If he always ended up crying when doing so, Phainon was there with him each and every time.I know, he’d say, voice quiet and raw with sentiment. It’s okay, you can love yourself freely now.
The memory of a crumbling hand reaching out, starved to display a desperate type of love and acceptance, was what they were both thinking about in those moments.

But then, he looks down, and an unforgettable silhouette of red meets his eyes. Elliot could never forget the sight of him, growing all too familiar with the demon that constantly made his life a living hell. These days–weeks, months, years?–he’s grown into something more grotesque, and he grew familiar with that, too. It was befitting of the havoc he wreaked.
He isn’t faced with a monster nor a demon. He’s faced with a child. Small, knees to his chest as he’s curled up against the bed frame, clutching his plush of a red Drakobloxxer for comfort, and even more tears welling in his eyes. Not horribly stretched out to monstrous proportions, no devilish grin melded on his face. The same as Elliot remembers him before they were all taken here.
“Oh my god,” Noob gaped at the sight of him, grabbing onto Elliot’s arm with both of their hands. Their grip is harsh, enough to cut off his circulation if they hold on too long. “Is that–?”
“Go get Builderman,” Elliot tells them. “Now.”
The Spectre gets bored and changes their game up a little bit. The unwilling participants try to grapple with how to handle the sudden shift.
