There were only a few Omegas within the NHL. Even with all of the league’s efforts to become more inclusive, it was still very bigoted. The statistics of the Omega players did not lend itself favorably either. The majority never made it longer than five years and none had ever been centers. More importantly, an Omega had never played for the Montreal Voyageurs. His career was over before it even started.
