Summary
A vessel falls, a god rises. The Lamb fulfilled their role in a prophecy they never asked to be a part of, expecting to be rewarded with their well-earned final rest.
Yet that's not what happens
After being unexpectedly brought back to life by their god, the Lamb finds themselves once more on a quest to strike down the Bishops of the old Faith, yet with a different reason as of why. However, things don't go as planned for the god of death since a certain someone didn’t exactly want to be alive again and in fact, would much prefer to go back to being dead, thank you!
The crown is not working as it should, and with the threat of the rest of the crowns having fallen in the wrong hands, the Lamb and Narinder find themselves having to work together once anew, and they are not talking.

Looking forward to seeing where this is going. The conflicted emotions over the lambs return is like a bittersweet tea to me. The desire for things to return to how they were before because there is still that memory of fondness. is pairs with that anger and hurt which colors those past moments with bitterness.

What an incredible read!!! I was utterly hooked reading about how deeply Lamb just cares with ALL their heart about the every kid that is under their care. There is this bittersweet atmosphere built up from this effort of Lamb's . That effort to give the children the best they can afford to give them with the cards that have been dealt.
I'm so excited to see more about Narinder and the twins. How their life and family work. I'm especially finding it thrilling the idea of Lamb finding out about this "mystery benefactor" the secrecy of it makes it exciting on if or when they might puzzle it out.
