Giyuu shut the door and slid down onto the floor, taking in a deep breath. His dressing room was filled with picture frames flipped down. He couldn’t stand looking at the memories, the highlights of his life that filled it with color and awe. Now, he was nothing more than an empty husk. He looked in the mirror. His cheekbones seemed sharper than they were last time. If it weren’t for the makeup on his face, embellishing his lips and eyes, the red rims of his teary eyes would be exposed, and the dark circles that stained his porcelain face would stand out more. He looked at his dresser that was now vacant. Sanemi would leave him flowers every show he attended. Now, there was nothing.
Or: Tomioka Giyuu and Shinazugawa Sanemi have been divorced for years now, a product of their own self-destruction. Now, after years of being apart, an unlikely event brings them back together in a story of healing and redemption.

Giyuu is tired. Not only because of sleep deprivation but also because of some specific Hashia's behavior. Those people being Shinobu, Iguro, and the one and only Sanemi Shinazugawa. These special assholes set him off one too many times before an important mission and now they are each in for a rude awakening. And not only will this constant bothering lead to well deserved revenge but it will also push Tomioka to stray away from the light and onto the path of darkness. However even in darkness you can find light and that is just what he will do.

They don’t talk to each other, so imagine his surprise when he was interrupted in the middle of his training in the rain, by a drenched Tokitou standing in front of the water estate.

Tomioka Giyuu never talked.
Not once since sanemi had started working with him has he ever said a word to him or anyone as far as Sanemi knew.
Did that bastard think that he was so much better than them that he could go around and ignore them because he thought he was above them?
It always pissed him off but it wasn't a big deal and he didn't really notice until he was forced to go on a mission with Tomioka and only ever got a nod in response to what Sanemi was saying!!!
(or where giyuu is mute but nobody knows except for shinobu and the kamados)
