Something is wrong.
Something is wrong with his communicator. It must have broken or glitched during his descent to the spawn area. Something like that. Or maybe the device is beginning to show its age and is due for repairs. That would certainly provide a modicum of sense to the impossible, single word lighting up on his screen.
Not just a word, a name. A name that makes his heart race then break, over and over again. A name he never expected to see anywhere beyond those agonizingly realistic dreams of his. A name that doesn’t belong here.
