Summary
Eddie's spent years trying to find a place to call home with Christopher, hoping that Shannon will come back and then desperately hoping she wouldn't. He thinks he's in the clear when she shows up at his doorstep, demanding they get back together.
Eddie comes up with a foolproof plan: get a fake boyfriend, convince Shannon he's gay, and live happily ever after with his life mostly intact and Christopher safe and happy. Get rid of fake boyfriend when Shannon gives up, and life can resume as normal.
Enter Buck, and the plan goes to hell in a handbasket.

Eddie swallowed hard. “You’re okay. Let it out. I've got you”
Buck shuddered against him. Then he spoke, barely above a whisper “I don’t feel okay.”
Eddie closed his eyes for a moment, letting the words sink in, letting the weight of them settle in his chest. He tightened his hold, lowering his voice to something barely above a breath.
“Then I’ll help you to feel okay.”

“I’m not yours,” Eddie says, pushing Buck softly away. “I’m not- I’m just your coparent, got it? I’m not fit to be an omega homemaker.”
Buck blinks, his lips parting in surprise. “You’re carrying my kid.”
“I know,” Eddie says firmly. “But I will not be claimed out of some sort of pity or obligation. You will be in our kids life as their Dad and that’s it. Not my Alpha or my mate or anything more than a coparent.”
Buck clears his throat, drawing his hands back from where they were resting on Eddie’s hip and stomach. “That’s what you want?”
No.
“That’s what I want.”
Buck’s face shuts down and he nods. “Okay. That’s… fine. We can just coparent.”
