Summary
Recently released from prison on a manslaughter charge, Mickey Milkovich isn't looking for anything messy. He's had enough messes for a life time, with prison, his piece of shit dad, and his drugged-up brothers. He just wants to work forty hours per week to keep his PO off his back and make sure his little sister doesn't have another breakdown. Keeping his new life as tidy as possible should be easy.
Except there's an annoying red-haired dancer at the club he works at who keeps talking to him, and nothing about Ian Gallagher is tidy.

Summary: The rom-coms tell you that finding your soulmate is the hard part. For Mickey and Ian, bonded by accident while they're still teens and still stuck in Southside, that is the only part that’s been easy. A re-telling of the early part of their romance where everything’s the same, but soulmates exist.
“Boyfriend?”
“Yeah. Aren’t you?”
“I don’t know if I’m your fucking boyfriend.”
“Ran over here at midnight because I had a bad day, but ok. Not my fucking boyfriend.”
“I’m your soulmate, man. Why do I have to be your boyfriend, too?”

Summary
Mickey's life has been going pretty well, considering that the world has gone to shit, nothing is as it should be, and the number of faces he gets to see for probably the rest of his fucking life (unless he wants to end up dead), is somewhere between ten and fifteen.
That is until an enemy is brought into their home, which opens more old wounds that he's ready to handle, as well as changes everything for him, even more than the goddamn apocalypse.
