Summary
It stood to reason that after you’ve laid your life on the line multiple times over-not just for one world, but for several; mind you-that eventually the universe would cut you some slack. Unfortunately, as was so often the case; the universe seemed to have missed the memo and today was not that day.
After Ken takes the news about the Mysterious Man using his persona and claiming to be Gennai about as well as expected; Daisuke decides that getting away from Japan for a little while might be exactly what his boyfriend needs. But the life of a Digidestined is rarely uneventful for long; as they will soon find out.

Ken stared at his hands where they rested on the kitchen table; his long hair falling around his face like a curtain, blocking out what he was sure were his parents' disappointed and horrified expressions. The adrenaline that had driven him to this point; pushed him to not only introduce Mama and Papa to Wormmon, but to go a step further and tell them everything, had long since dissipated.

There were certain truths that Daisuke Motomiya knew like the back of his hand: soccer was awesome, he and Vmon were going to own the most awesome chain of ramen shops in the world; and Ken had long hair.
It was for these reasons that Daisuke was having a hard time processing the sight in front of him. It was Ken, his Ken; he was sure of that; he’d spent enough time memorizing the planes of those ivory cheeks and getting lost in those intense violet eyes to know that for a fact. What was throwing him off was the distinct lack of long inky hair. Instead; Ken’s hair was now clean cut, stopping just below his ears in a slight taper.
