Summary
Yang Xiao Long, once a talented and passionate biology student, begins failing her class due to her growing conflict with Professor Taurus, a strict teacher who openly favors another student while constantly criticizing Yang. Frustrated and convinced that Taurus unfairly hates her, Yang starts skipping classes and giving up academically, despite biology being one of her favorite subjects.
After a meeting with her father—who also happens to be the school principal—Yang reluctantly agrees to return to class before her absences get her expelled. Supported by her caring younger sister Ruby and her blunt but loyal friend Weiss, Yang prepares herself for another miserable day with Taurus.
However, when she finally returns to biology class, she discovers that Taurus has mysteriously disappeared and has been temporarily replaced by Professor Belladonna, a calm and intimidating substitute teacher. The moment Yang sees her, her entire attitude toward biology changes instantly.
