Summary
Jaskier is the product of an experiment the Cat witchers performed on Aiden, allowing him to carry and birth his kit. Raised in the caravan and also by Aiden and Lambert, Jaskier turned out to be a pretty successful half-witcher bard. Years later, Jaskier meets Geralt, and travels to Kaer Morhen for the winter. Unbeknownst to him, that was the year Jad Karadin struck.

“Yeah, I’m the idiot who fucking chose you. Thought you wanted me to.” Jaskier swallows. “Thought you were choosing me too,” he says in a smaller voice.
Geralt hums, and holds him tighter.
“I was,” he says. “...I am.”
