Unbeknownst to him, that was the year Jad Karadin struck.

Shouyou’s never been good at anything pertaining to dynamics.
“Karasuno,” he replies, stars in his eyes and his head. “I want to graduate into the hero course!”
His homeroom teacher gives him a belligerent grin, like Shouyou is ten years younger. “Maybe you should have a back-up plan in mind, Hinata-kun. Omegas don’t make it very far in the hero world. For good reason.”

Summary
Jaskier had been hearing voices. They cropped up three months into his captivity. The men that captured him had brought him to his cell, manacled him to the wall, and left. He did not see another person for the next twelve weeks.
Almost all of the voices he conjured were cruel. His parents, his professors, even Valdo Marx. His own mind had decided to berate itself since no one else was there to do it. That certainly said something about him that he was too tired to examine.
Yennefer's voice was the strangest.
This is a song-fic based on the lyrics of The Amazing Devil song The Old Witch Sleep and The Good Man Grace.
