-It was pouring rain; you would have to be a moron to be outside without an umbrella.
But there Diluc sat, soaking wet, in front of Father’s grave, an umbrella abandoned beside him. Kaeya knew he would be here and knew he would be sitting alone in the rain. It was around 9 p.m.
It was Father’s birthday today. He would’ve been 50 today.

It’s Crepus birthday. Diluc mourns, and Kaeya tries to help him feel better. He finds out more about Diluc than he wanted to know.

Inextricably, he has no appetite; but vows to do his breakfast justice for Adelinde’s sake anyways. At his desk he pours himself a cup of tea and cuts a bite of the food. It’s positively flavorless and the tea is like warm water, but he knows that’s not on Adelinde. He hasn’t been able to taste anything in two days.

"His understanding of the situation was that Master Diluc had abruptly decided to lock himself away, scarcely leaving his bedroom, withdrawing himself even from responsibilities he had never failed to fulfill since his return to Mondstad.
He just had to make sure he wasn't dying in there, and Kaeya was free to go. Perhaps Diluc just felt like going on a vacation. Perhaps he finally managed to turn himself into a vampire and could no longer step into the sun. Certainly a win for the Darknight Hero, if not for the Winery."
