“What?” she pressed, impatience seeping into her voice like that strange warmth that even the damp cold of the river couldn’t snuff out. “What is it?”
Nezha looked so frustratingly beautiful then, with his unreadable gaze reflecting the surrounding luminescence. She thought she long ago ceased to be mesmerized by him, but it was as surprisingly easy to yearn as to resent.
“You’re divine.”
