What starts as an ordinary workplace friendship keeps running into things neither of them can explain. The same line underlined in a book neither knew the other owned, a text sent at the exact same second, a song that plays itself back to both of them from opposite sides of the world. None of it ever solves anything. They still have to do the actual work: showing up, being honest, choosing each other on purpose, again and again, long after the universe (or whatever it was) has done whatever it was going to do.
A slow-burn office romance about the difference between being given a sign and deciding, plainly, what something means.
