Sometimes Buck can't believe they're here. They'd been a few months into their second try at a relationship when Tommy had seen something on his computer he shouldn't have. Buck had been sure that would be it, Tommy would turn him in and be done.
But instead, Tommy had turned to him and said, "Can I help?"
Now they're married and partners in crime. Literally.
Or: Buck and Tommy go after predators and other killers, but when they discover someone might be after them, they try to go on the offense.

Summary
“You’ve been having these pains all day, right?” Hen asks.
Buck, unable to answer the question verbally, nods in response.
“And they’re getting more intense and closer together?”
He nods again.
“What does that sound like to you, Buck?”
As the pain subsides, Buck feels a gush of fluid from between his legs. He gasps, watching as his sweatpants turn darker.
“No fucking way,” Buck whispers.

Summary
Buck's always easy for Eddie. Which, again, is the reason why they're in this predicament. Eddie holds up his glass for Buck to clink his against. "Congratulations, Buck. You're going to be a father."
Eddie's expecting a lot of possible emotions. He's not expecting sheer horror. Buck manages to choke out, "You're dying?”
Buck's into the bargaining stage, saying that they'll talk to doctors and do everything they can for him before Eddie's brain comes back online and he interrupts Buck. "I'm pregnant."
Buck's eyes widen. That's a lot more like the reaction Eddie planned for. Hoped for, even. “Ed–Eddie.”
Eddie, for the first time all day, lets his hands settle over his stomach. Right now, there’s a baby in there. His and Buck’s.
Buck knocks Eddie up. This isn't the first time Eddie's faced an unplanned pregnancy with a best friend. He's determined not to repeat his mistakes, but that's easier said than done.

“Do you and Karen have a lot of the same hobbies?” he asks.
“Sort of,” she replies, shrugging. “We do a lot together, but the kids take up a lot of our time these days. Not really much room for hobbies outside theirs. That’s a double-income-no-kids privilege. Why?”
