Summary
“What the fuck did you do to him, you dickhead?” Bonehead asks, and Noel’s stomach twists. He has no clue how he’d even know that it was Noel’s fault, but maybe it was fucking obvious. Maybe his guilt’s written on his fucking face, like how it feels it is. Noel bites back, and it ends up being a right screaming match, the band against the two of them, because of course Liam is on his fucking side, no matter how guilty it makes Noel feel. There was never a chance of them being on opposite sides in this.

Noel doesn't believe in a god, not in a religious way, but he does think that some things happen for a reason. There must've been a reason why his mother died at birth, why he had to go through orphanage and orphanage until he had aged out of them and why the universe must see it fit to reunite him with his past like this.
Or: Liam is an up and coming model and Noel is a seasoned photographer eight years his senior.
