Summary
Vergil releases the knight's form, leaving him standing there as a human. The White Rabbit has seen this form only a few times before, in moments they never acknowledge outside of their occurrence– knows how much he loathes inhabiting sapien flesh. Well, perhaps he can alleviate that burden– for a while anyway. He has experience with one twin already, so the other should be a simple matter.
“I could sic my underlings on you, but I doubt they'd be little more than fodder. Dante already chewed through most of the useful ones.” The White Rabbit moves closer, invading Vergil's space, reaching out to grab his jaw. His voice drops low, taking satisfaction in the way Vergil tenses up. “No, you require a more… personal touch.”
(Vergil goes to the White Rabbit for help with awakening his real devil trigger by any means necessary.)

Nelo ices over once again, back to business as usual. “You'll need both halves of the amulet to unlock Sparda's true power.”
The White Rabbit gives a hum of contemplation, beginning to pace the room once more.
“I ran some tests on the blood you gave me.” He pauses at his desk, picking up the vial, now empty. “This blood had already been circulating through my system, assimilated into me the day that I died. In other words, this is your blood.” He turns back to Nelo, a smirk slashing across his face. “Isn't that right, son of Sparda?”

“Come now, where did you think they were sourcing the upgrades?” The Rabbit taps the implant on his chest with a mirthless smirk. Beneath the utter contempt in his eyes, there's an exhaustion that permeates every part of him. “Apparently I had enough demon blood integrated into my system that it didn't take much to stitch me back together. It's a decent evolution of the mechanism I designed. A shame it doesn't serve me much use like this. They're quite strict on how much blood I'm rationed, you see.”
“This is insane.” She leans her weight on the desk, feeling faint. “They're using you as the fucking prototype.”
(Months into the siege on Hell, Mary "Lady" Arkham realizes she's in over her head. Somewhat of a fix-it fic set post-season 1 of the Netflix series that will see Lady and the White Rabbit dragging each other through a hostile, painful redemption.)

White Rabbit has entered into a partnership celestial being called the Radiant in aid for his plans to tear down the wall between realms. However, there's more at play between himself and the angel than he realizes.
